Does anyone know if there is a way to acces admin mode faster?

Now I have to login as admin everytime I want to acces the admin area. But I want to login automatically, so I don't have to give my username and password.

I tried to figure it out myself, but I could not find it. Maybe someone can help me?

Just tell your browser to remember user and password.

...or tick the "remember me" checkbox on coppermine's login page - that's what it's meant to be used for.

Did all that, but it does not work.
How come, any idea?

I once had a script that I could access, typing the something like the following address:

http://www.sitename.com/login.php?admin_user=xxx&admin_pass=xxx

Is it posible to have such an address?

You and your browser could be automatically cleaning your cookies......

Or (maybe) you could have done something with the cookie settings in your config......

But...it is impossible to see because you did not post a link to your Coppermine......

Hi,

My webbrowser is configured correctly.
I just wondered if CPG has a feature that make it easy.

Also, when I click on the link in my upload notification email, I get no access! I have to log in as well!
What's the use for the link then?

I just don't get it. Believe me, I think CPG is great, but this is a little strange.

Maybe anyone has an idea?

No, it obviously isn't, or the "remember me" checkbox would be working as expected. As suggested: post a link to your gallery as per board rules! Additionally, post a non-admin test user account.

Coppermine doesn't come with such a feature, and the devs are reluctant to add it to the core because of the security impact, so the basic answer is "no".

Would be possible to code it. But coppermine's authentification from one page to the other is cookie-based, so this wouldn't help you much in your setup, with cookie authentification not working as expected. I'm pretty sure that you have a pseudo-security app (crap like the notorious "Norton Internet Security" or similar) on your desktop that interferes with cookies, or you have misconfigured your browser in the first place. Do as we suggested and we'll be able to tell you more.

Then we probably can't help you. Security (or privacy) by obscurity is a silly concept though if you ask me.

Anyway, as I said above: I'm dead sure that the problem lies on your end. If you don't post a link to your gallery we will not be able to help you and we are not willing to neither.
