catmgr.php - Only a white page

When I click on "Category" in my admin menue I get only a white page. I uploaded the file "catmgr.php" again, but I have still the same problem. Do I have too much categories or what is the failure?

You indeed have a load of categories, so it's quite probably as you expected: you're running into a time-out. There is a modified version of the category manager around that Nibbler has created as a remedy for those who have timeout issues. Please search the board for that modified version and see if it helps.

Hi! I have gone to my catmgr.php file and deleted the old code, and placed this new code there. I saved the file. Unfortunately I have the same white page appearing. It seems to be working for you guys so I am wondering if I did something wrong? I have a lot of categories, and my version is 1.4.18.

Please start your own thread. Before you do that, upgrade to the latest release (currently 1.4.25 )
