Mod Sub-themes and direct link?

I'm using [MOD] Sub themes (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,22781.0.html) with success.

But this doesn't seem to work for direct links?

http://www.xarno.nl/fotoalbum/displayimage-113-0.html is the picture [shown in the green lay-out]
http://www.xarno.nl/fotoalbum/displayimage-31736.html is the direct link (shown as http://www.ff.fm/fotoalbum/displayimage-31736.html after looking for the information) [both shown in the blue/gray lay-out]

Am I correct that the direct links to the image page only shows the default lay-out?

Short explanation about the strange url:
/var/virtual/www.ff.fm/fotoalbum symlinks to /var/virtual/fotoalbum
/var/virtual/www.xarno.nl/fotoalbum symlinks to /var/virtual/fotoalbum
http://www.xarno.nl/fotoalbum is redirected to http://www.xarno.nl/fotoalbum/index-26.html in httpd.conf.

I think there is something to be edited in displayimage.php.

Am I looking in the right direction?

Support for the SEF_URLs plugin has been dropped, so the answer is: maybe, we don't know.

SEF_URLs dropped and .htaccess removed.

Am I correctly assuming that I need to edit some stuff in displayimage.php to get [MOD] Sub-themes working in the second link?
Or is this totally impossible because it uses an imagenumber and not an albumnumber?
