I did some searching and haven't been able to find this, I'm sorry if I missed a previous thread along the way.

I'd like to be able to upload my original giant images, and be able to show a thumb and a 640x480 (or other size intermediate).

From what I can tell, the best way to do it is to do a batch upload, then "resize pictures" and click the option at the bottom that says "delete originals". Is there a way to automate this? So that when I upload/add a file to the album it gets rid of the original as soon as the thumb and intermediate are done?

thanks

Casper

it would be much easier for you to do a batch convert before you ftp them.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

I was just hoping that they wouldn't have to do that. The users I'm helping set this up for are going to be confused by that. I was hoping it could just be integrated into the process. While it's a bandwidth waste, that isn't a concern, it's the space those images take up that is the problem.

will (hopefully) become an option in a future version, moving this thread to "feature requests".

That's the kind of answer I was looking for
Currently not available, but could be at a later date.
thanks a ton.

This is how you do it.

Note that you will not be able to use batch resize if you implement this (unless you modify it, too).

OUTSTANDING!!
thanks so much for the quick response. I figured it out from that link, updated the search and regular pages too...
thanks again

DizzyG

I'm curious if this is something that will be a config option once v1.3.x comes out or if I'll have to be putting this in manually again?
thanks

hyperion

No, 1.3 had a feature freeze some time ago.

So it could be a future version feature? 1.3.1 or 1.4 or something like that if I'm lucky?
