I didn't find any info on this for cpg1.5.x searching the board and the documentation...
Is there any standard way to hide the uploader username in the file info? In the thumbnail section it is hidden by default, but I didn't see any way to hide it in the file info that is displayed below the picture.

Basically I do not want anybody to see my admin username anywhere as that is a security risk in my eyes...

If I can't hide it, is there a way to deactivate the file info? I just found a setting to hide it by default, but none to deactivate it completely.

BTW I am not allowed to install additional plugins or change any code for this site as cpg is provided and updated by my web hoster.

Then we cannot help you. If you don't want to display your admin user in the file info, just create a second (regular) user which uploads the files. Another option would be to set 'How do you want your users to be able to login' to email address only. In that case an attacker cannot use your admin user name to login but has to know your (secret) email address.

Well, not what I hoped for, but thanks a lot anyways. At least I didn't miss anything in the docs.  :)
