After updating from 1.5.18 to 1.5.22 I see some strange stuff when I check versions. Have a look at the attached png file. Any ideas??

Did you upgrade from http://sourceforge.net/projects/coppermine/files/ ? And use an FTP app to upload the files? Sometimes the FTP app can change the binary.

I curretly don't have a test site up running 1.5.22 so I can't check it directly. Most of the time you can ignore that as long as everything works and you downloaded from the sourceforge page.

Please post a link so we can take a closer look.

It's a ongoing issue, which like Jeff said, you can ignore if everything is working ok.
