Hi all,

First, I've read all topics but my problem seems not to be yet treated...

Under coppermine 1.2.1 everything was working fine... ;)
I upgraded to the 1.3 version and everything seems to work fine, except  the "Batch add file"  :(
I got this message:
"This function allows you to add a batch of file that your have uploaded to your server by FTP.

Select the directory where you have uploaded your files"

But I can not select any directory!!!

Then to upload files I use the upload buttom. And this work but not the "Batch add file" buttom...

Joachim Müller

if there's no directory to select, you probably ftp-uploaded to the userpics subfolder. Well, you mustn't. You never were meant to, not even in cpg1.2.1
FTP-upload to a dir you create inside the albums dir and everything should work fine. Recommended reading: http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/manual.php#batch_add_pics (especially the bit marked as "important").

Sorry Gaugau for my stupid question!
I was creating and uploading files directly in userpics  ::) instead of albums folder... sorry for that!

Ops...I had the same problem and reading this thread I solved it...One question to Gau...
I had my whole gallery under userpics folder. ::) :P I did so with the older version, because after the first image uploaded, I used the same directory for the other pics, uploaded with FTP and processed with "batch add file" function. Now reading the manual I feel a little stupid... Is this a problem or I can keep them there?

Thank you for your work

Joachim Müller

keep them there (and pray that no problems will arise from the fact that you initially uploaded to the wrong folder ;)). Make sure to have all future ftp-uploads (from now on) not go into the userpics folder, but into a folder structure within "albums" you are to create. It's advisable (although not necessary) to set up your folder structure similarly to your category/albums structure.

thank you for your quickly reply. I will follow your instructions in the future.... ;)

The more I use coppermine, the more I read this messageboard and the more I find you are a great team!!
Just had the same problem (yeah, all my folders are under userpics directory) and found the solution just with a silly "click" on the search feature... great!
Thanks!
