Hi, Iwas recently transfered from one server to another. The site worked well before. Now, it works fine, BUT I am not able to upload new pictures to any album. FTP uploads were done correctly, but uploads INTO the gallery show green circles on the right column with error signs.

I even downloaded the Coppermine again in a different file, tried to upload a couple pictures, but the error persists the same way.

Might there be a problem with the new server?

I am an amateur user of Coppermine, so I am not able to find the problem. Any idea where to start? Thank you

Was it intended that you posted in the freelancer board? If so, you should read this thread: https://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php/topic,8170.0.html

If not, please read this and post the required information: https://documentation.coppermine-gallery.net/en/upload_troubleshooting.htm#upload_trouble_enable_settings

Your screenshot shows the batch-add interface. Does the HTML uploader(s) work as expected?

Hi André,
Many thanks for your interest in my problem. I think I probably started my issue in the wrong place, however if I have to pay to solve my troubles, I will agree with it.
I followed your instructions changing the Default upload mechanism to "Simple - one file at a time" and
Enable debug mode for everyone by clicking on "Yes: Everyone" in the line "Enable debug mode"

After that, at the bottom of the configuration page appeared like a diagnostic of the site (I assume it is, but not sure). I bearly understand if it says where the problem is. The Queries go from [1].... to [17]. Probably I have to change or update some things in all this different places. At least some info is OK, like:
VERSION INFO :
------------------
PHP version        5.6.40     OK
MySQL version      5.6.41-log OK
Coppermine version 1.5.48     stable

I could not upload any picture after this, however.
I upload with (Batch) and then I get the errors.

Another thing: after I do version updates, I always change in THEMES opening the CURVE file and replacing style.css and template.html with the ones which I begun the site in 2007. Is it OK with this?

Thanks, Tom

Please post a test user account which is allowed to upload files.

I did not respond to your advise of trying to upload using http, since I do not know how to do it. The admin bar does not show any other upload options rather than FTP upload. I remember doing this many years ago, but forgot how to. Thanks again for your help.

I get this when I try to upload new pictures:
QuoteCritical error
Destination directory albums/userpics/ is not writable by the script!

File: /home/c1440242/public_html/galeria/db_input.php - Line: 624

Please check the permissions of the folder(s) you try to batch-add (they need write permissions).

tomrezelj

Hi, think I did the permisson in the album DE ALUMINIO - BUENOS AIRES. Please check

Besides, I get the same error as yours. After I log in, if I press again the log in button, then this message shows up. It did not before, Maybe this info helps. Thanks.

I still get the same error message. Please set the permissions of the folder albums/userpics/ to 777 with your favorite FTP client.

Now I get a blank page from http://www.patentesantiguas.com.ar/galeria/db_input.php

If you agree, I'll send you my contact details so you can send me admin login and ftp credentials, so I can debug the upload procedure.

tomrezelj

Guess what: the folder userpics inside album folder wasn´t there. I just uploaded it before I changed the permissions to 777.
Yes, of course, I am fully open on giving you the info you need. Thanks.

I selected GD2 as "Method for resizing images" and was able to upload a test file. Please try if batch-add now also works as expected.
