Hi, I have a self-made dilemma for which I take responsibility. I currently have version 1.5.40 and is showing  fatal errors when I try to open the script. Is it possible to update with the latest version and fix things? I know I have to get up to date and holding my breath. The database is intact and the images are still in place. I almost went for it but decided to ask first. I'm searching out info in the readme file at this time. I guess I'm just looking for a "reassuring shove".

Follow the instructions here. Make sure to click on the button to run the update after all the files have been upgraded.

I can't thank you enough for your help. I shouldn't get so worried about things. The update took only seconds and was a success.

All seemed to go well with the update and the page opened up with all the individual albums appearing with the thumbs included and random files at the bottom of the page appeared but, when I clicked on an album to open it up I got the following error (the letters "sir"stands for server directories removed):

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function ctype_alpha() in sdr/include/inspekt.php:478 Stack trace: #0
sdr/include/inspekt/cage.php(287): Inspekt::isAlpha('227') #1
sdr/thumbnails.php(60): Inspekt_Cage->testAlpha('album') #2
{main} thrown in /sdr/include/inspekt.php on line 478

Something I noticed in the include/config.php file was that it said the db type was mysqli and the server dbtype is mysql, if that makes any difference.

The site in question is https://www.praisenpray.org/pics

I can find the lines in the files but I don't have a clue as to what is meant.

It would seem that the ctype extension is not being included in your PHP configuration. Depending on your hosting, you may be able to turn that on in a PHP configuration panel or you will have to have your hosting provider resolve it.

I contacted the server host and they enabled ctype and the gallery came right to life. Once again I would like to thank you for all the help and hopefully no more problems. :) :) :) :) :)
