I have a big problem to  sort albums in good order with this new version 1.2 :when mooving several album (with arrows up and down in the album section) and I apply modifications, only one is taken in account   .

It was not the case of the previous version of coppermine how to make possible different moves in one time in the album section?

Better how (mabe mod?) to sort automaticaly alphabeticaly albums?

Thanks

I can not confirm this with my installs of cpg1.2.0RC2. Do you have a link? Maybe you could also pm me a test admin account (please give a referer to this thread in you pm).

I do agree of course to help with tes admin acount tell me what to do gaugau.
For me I ve notic 3 fails in the new version
1/ when I put more than 1 level in admin section my index page becomes blank

2/ like I said in previous message only the hilighted album in the albums administration section is moved so only one can be change of position by time (If I remember good it was possible to highlight all of album in version 1.1 so you can easyly sort in one update your album order)

I think also pages of album are very slow particularely the index page. From I ve installed the version 1.2 I ve noticed a loss of visitors and I think it due to time load maybe coppermine is too good! and does too many things and needs so a very good server ?

I run on a dedicated server 512 ram duron 1 giga
My album is 31 000 pictures 660  albums and 27 categories.

Your server should do (although I have of course no idea of your traffic). If you reduce the number of "gimmicks" that were introduced with cpg1.2.0 (especially on the start page) like thumbs for albums your page load problems should improve; if you use the same layout you did with cpg1.1.x, the page load should be nearly the same. It only comes natural: more features mean more database queries and more pics to show... Nothing that can be done about that.

With cpg1.1.x you were not able to highlight more than one album and move them - I'm quite sure about that, so maybe you're just remembering this wrong...

As your first issue is concerned (blank page) I don't understand aexactly what you mean: do you have a link so I can take a look?

for the blank page it appears even in debug mode. I think I m not alone with this problem : http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=742&highlight=

For sorting order I m absolute certain that it what possible to makes several changes of order in only one update because I change to coppermine displaying only a few weeks ago and I began to update my page on version 1.1 so I have uploaded lots of album in the same time. So inthe same session I create album and sort them without problem.

The question is if I go back to the previous version by uploading all the old files of coppermine just to update album sort, could it put a mess in my database?
Or could it be possible to make sort directly by phpmyadmin "by hand"?

I ve uploade lots of albums with xp function (that I find very very great) but now it is a big mess in album sort.

If I do one album by one with album coppermine section it is going to take me weeks to sort all of them.

thanks for your help. album links:
