How can I use coppermine to display the large images in seperate windows cause it wont work with my design.
thanks!

Tranz

Link please, with specific examples of what you're talking about.

MilchstrabeStern

well i cant really link you to anything However I can link you to my website in general. http://www.mplionhearts.com . My large images cant fit in that design properly without making the large images small. Therefore itd make sense to just open them in their own window?

Where's your Coppermine installation at?  It's hard to understand your problem if you don't have anything available to look at.

Lol okay, but theres nothing in there, and even the website is bare on the gallery right now cause im not using it yet. http://www.mplionhearts.com/photoadmin/      But imagine trying to fit a 800x800 photo in a 350 px wide space, jsut doesnt work...

Have you read the documentation that comes with Coppermine?  There are options to limit the dimensions of the intermediate and thumbnail images.  Please review the docs (in the docs directory) and post again if you still have difficulties.

I'm not quite sure you understand. Yes I know I can change the size of the large images, however, seriously would you want to look at a 350px wide image? CAuse I wouldnt. I'd like them to be 800px wide at least cause people that view my site like to see big pictures. So the only way around this is to makea  seperate page for the gallery (which is possible, but if its not necessary, Id like to avoiud it) or find a way to have the images open in a new browser window.

Tranz

If you want more space, you need to do something about the image on the left. It's taking a huge chunk of window real estate. If you want your images to be 800px wide, plus all the extra space around, it just won't fit on a lot of screens. And even the big screen users don't want to have windows monopolizing their screen space.

Again, please read the documentation.  You can make your thumbnails and intermediate pictures any size you want.  When you click on a thumbnail, a reduced size picture (intermediate) is displayed.  You click on that picture and the full size image opens in a pop up window.

If you want to go directly from thumbnail to pop up fullsize image, you'll have to modify the code to do so.

thank you, sorry for the confusion, but while were on the topic, theres some gray i cant seem to get rid of? I was able to change all the other colors but that one (see link above).

kegobeer

We have a one topic per post guideline (helps keep threads easier to follow).  Please post your color question in the themes/skins/templates board.  Thanks.
