It's because the height set in your configuration is bigger than the actual height of the images. If you look at the images paths and enter them in the browser, you will see that the images are much smaller than they appear on that page. Basically, those images are being stretched out to fit the page layout, and thus they end up looking distorted. You would either have to change the configuration to accommodate the existing pictures, or redo the thumbnails, which you can do in Admin Tools.

The dimensions of your album thumbnail are 69x50. What are the settings in your configuration for thumbnail dimensions? The images displayed on the page you linked to are being stretched to a height of 150 pixels regardless of their actual size.

It looks exactly as TranzNDance said.  The thumbnails have been created at a setting of 50px high, but displayed at 150.

Check your config settings, as there are 2 places the thumbnail size is set.  One is in the 'Album list view' section, and the other is in the 'Files and thumbnails settings'.  It is this second one that coppermine uses when creating the thumbnails.  The first is used to display the album and category thumbs, but it stretches/shrinks the thumbs to fit.

You can have them different sizes, but trying to stretch them from 50 px to 150 px is bound to make them look horrible.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

yes i tried reseting both those setting to 150 and deleted the files and reuploaded the pics still the same is there a way to use the full res pic in the gallery home

I think you must be doing something wrong, as your thumbs in the albums themselves are very small, but you want to have the album thumbs much bigger. Why don't you just have them all the same.
There is no need for you to delete and re-upload, it's just getting the settings correct and then using the admin tools to re-build.
No, you cannot use the originals on the front page, without some considerable code changes, and anyway, that would not be a good idea.

If you pm me an admin logon, a link to this thread, and a description of exactly what you want, with regard to thumbnail sizes, I will do it for you.
But please understand, you cannot have tiny thumbs in the albums, and huge ones as the album and cat thumbs.
