If you click on the climbing galleries, it'll go to another screen where I can select "irate"'s album... but is there a way to skip this screen and instead have it go directly to the next screen, the one I see if I click on the thumbnail there?

I guess what I'm asking is: is it possible to skip the user album selection screen, and just display all albums in the"climbing" gallery? I was looking around theme.php and found where it displays the user gallery page, but I don't know enough to get it to dissapear entirely. I've read a couple other posts, notably http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=8045.0 and http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=10248.0. The first one leads me to believe it's not possible, but the scond one says it might be. I don't know.

Does anyone know a way to get around this?

The easy way, would be to create a category called 'climbing' and then make new albums, with the same names in there, and then move the pics across.
Then delete the empty albums, so the user galleries cat does not display.
It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

Allright. Suppose it's not that easy - because even after reading the FAQ I'm not quite sure what you want me to do, or how to di anything like it. Not that I don't apprecaite the help, it's not that at all. I was trying to do something along the lines of http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/faq.php#moveAlbum - but even following those directions don't work. What it tells us to do just isn't there. I'm using the latest version, and it's the stable one - not a CVS or beta release.

I think the problem is that the program is so in depth - it can do so much, and I'm just trying to do some very basic stuff with it, which it's not exactly setup to do by default.

Just one question - what do you mean by "move the pics across" - across to what? Thanks again for the help eh.

Edit - Okay, I figured out what you meant now. I'm not going to use the *My Gallery* category anymore, right. Got it. I think that's what you wanted me to do. Now I just need to figure out how to move albums over from *My Gallery* to my new Climbing Gallery.

Cheers,
James

Simple... Log in as administrator... Under the album list, click on "properties" for the album you want to move to your climbing gallery. Next, there is a drop down menu on the right of the screen, next to "Update Album" select the "Climbing" Category.  DONE.

Please do not PM me with support questions. Please read the manual and then if posting questions please place them in the proper sub-boards.

You cannot move albums from the user galleries to the general category, which is why I suggested creating new albums in the new category, and moving the pics themselves.
Click on the 'edit pics' button, next to the album thumbnail, of the album they are now in.  Change the album with the dropdown box for each one then apply modifications.
