Hello again,

I'm back for some more help  :D

Ok, this time around its something like this:

• I use pnCPG (Coppermine Photo Gallery 1.3.2) as a module for PostNuke version: 0.7.2.6-Phoenix on my personal website.
• I've completely disallowed Guests/Anonymous users to view anything.
• I've let the users from "Registered" group have access to view the pictures (thumb/inter/full)

Query:

Is it possible to have two groups i.e within the Registered group viz. eg. Can Group-A: View Only Thumbs group and Group-B: Can View All Sizes Pics ?

So basically my pnCPG will have three kind of user groups:

1. Anonymous/Guest user (who can not view anything at all)
2. Registered user who can view only thumbnails and no other pic sizes (Group A)
3. Registered user who can view all pic sizes (Group B)

I'm cool with having to manually create and assign user groups for making this possible, if only someone can please guide me how  :)

If this distiction can be made within Coppermine itself, then there is no issue (you would need to check on a different forum). As far as pnCPG is concerned, no problems are to be expected. You would need to allocate users within Coppermine to those groups manually.

PS: Yes, I need this distinction to work within Coppermine itself  :-[

Please don't cross post. If you think a post was misplaced, a mod would probably think so and move it accordingly. Otherwise, ask for it to be removed.

Hi  :)

I did leave a post after casNuy's post saying:

"why didnt it occur to me that this issue has got nothing to do with pnCPG :D
yes casNuy, I do want this distinction to be made within Coppermine :)

Thanks for your reply and time Cas ;D

PS: I've tried to search rest of the forums to see if something matches my issue over here, but no luck as yet. Anyway, I'm moving this thread to (the threads url). It'd be cool if this post should & could be deleted :) Thanks!"

I didnt intend to cross post, I did leave a message for this thread to be deleted. Something apparently went wrong, I dont know what :) oh yeah, when I reposted this on the other forum, my post count was 12  ::)

Anyway, sorry for the trouble  :-[ But now I'm tad bit confused about where to post :)
