Can't get install to execute.

Greetings. Have downloaded the files (Coppermine) to my server using ftp Client. Did what the tutorials said to do as far as checking the the first boxes in albums properties and include properties. I never got the Items properties box so I could not check the apply to files and folders inside of it.
I cant seem to get the install to execute.

The property dialogs of ftp applications differ: the tutorial uses WS_FTP pro as an example, which has the option to enable propagation of permissions for folders and files with the selected folders. Your ftp app might not hav ethis option, but it should nevertheless propagate the permissions.
After having uploaded and CHMODed, on what step are you stuck? What is the error message you get (if any)?

I have managed to move on now and I am now in the set up for the coppermine photo gallery but I am now getting this ERROR.

Could not create a mySQL connection, please check the SQL values entered

MySQL error was : Access denied for user: 'tstar@bsd18.infinology.net' (Using password: YES)

You would need to ask your webhost for the mysql settings.

Thanks have sent them the link to the page where you set up the account for the photo gallery so they can see what i am talkin about.  Wanted to ask you about how many characters it takes to add the box you have with all the pics in it in your sig.

It just takes the number of characters in the URL to the file, plus the [img] tags.

Can you stretch it by adding more pics so it goes across the whole bottom of the screen side to side if you add more pics?

Thanks for the responses. Now I would like to ask you how I set up something similar to what you have. Have logged on as administrator and was wondering how do I upload files to coppermine. I have three folders saved on my desktop that I would like to upload. Do I have to upload them to the server within a folder in coppermine. Do I have to create them. Also do you use the batch editor that you can put within coppermine. Im a little brain dead and cant remember the name. I use quick epics on my laptop and really like it. Sorry fo so many questions and sincerely appreciate your help. I really like the way you have yours set up.

This section of the manual tells you how to upload and add files to the gallery. It tells you where to upload. You need to use FTP and create the folders.

The rest of the manual can help you with settings to achieve the look you want. I have modded my gallery, so you might not get what you want from the basic installation. Please read through the manual and faq and forums to find answers. If you still cannot figure out how to do something, please create new threads for different questions. This makes it much easier for us to mark threads as solved, and for users looking for answers... they don't have to go through too many irrelevant posts.
