what have I missed??

I have change hosting and as a result have copied both my forum and photo gallery over. They both run of the same mysql database which was also transferred. I updated the config on my forum and it worked no probs once I went into the database and updated the script path.
The photo gallery on the other hand, I went into include/config_inc.php and updated the DB details, I cant find anything in the db showing script paths but when I go to the url for the gallery I just get
Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to phpBB Board database !

MySQL said: Access denied for user: '#######@localhost' (Using password: YES)

The hash's should be the new username but they are the old one. So I'm guessing that something else needs to be updated. But what, I've searched and cant find the details held anywhere else.

got a phpinfo.php but not an .inc.php
Checked the phpinfo and nothing in there that would cause it.
Double checked config_inc.php and everything is correct??

In the folder include, - you'll find config.inc.php

Not sure if this is blindingly obvious for you, - but this file controls how Coppermine accesses the database.

If I change the info in there, - to something wrong, - I get :

If I revert, - it works again....

If you did, - which your post indicates, - apart from the config dot inc dot php (not config underscore inc dot php), - then maybe the

indicates a problem, - maybe it's supposed to say this because you use a bridge ?, - but my error message is slightly different as you can see.

Have you tried connecting from a MySQL admin with this username and password ? and if that works, - can you see the database you've chosen in Config.inc.php ?


Hey.. just found phpbb.inc.php in the bridge folder.... If Nibbler's right.... and I guess he is.. :-) then you should check this... I assume you're using phpbb since you got that error message...

Yes, nibblers right (as usual  )

If you are bridged, the bridge file needs to have the correct details of the bb database.  You had to edit this file when you first bridged, and you will have to edit it now to reflect the changes.
