Hi, here's my idea.
I've got many pictures from my recent 6 month trip in south America. I don't want to divide the gallery, but I'd rather
prefere to publish everything (over 2000 pictures) in the same album and have the possibility to identify each picture
inside with "level".
Later, the viewer will be able to chose the level of album wanted.

e.g.

if in the database I've got 8 pics (just for e.g.)

pic1 level 1
pic2 level 2
pic3 level 1
pic4 level 1
pic5 level 3
pic6 level 3
pic7 level 2
pic8 level 1

   level 1 (4 pics)
 level 2 (2 pics + level 1 pics)
level 3 (2 pics + level 2 pics + level 1 pics)

let's say user Kelly decide to see level 2 coppermine than will show only pics 1,2,3,4,7 and 8 in the album (as level 2 include level 1)
if another user called Paul wants to see level 3 he'll see all the pictures 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 (as level 3 includes level 1 and 2)
and if another user called John wants to see level 1 he will browse between pics: 1,3,4 and only.

Of course the site admin or at least the gallery owner needs to setup the level fr each pics, and this might be done at upload time.
Could may be this called level of interest?
I hope I've explained myself.
What do you think?

Regards

CPG 1.4.x is still under dev and has this feature of linking photos to differnt albums (levels as you are calling it). Unfortunately since it is a dev version, it comes with no support.

In CPG 1.3.x, you would have to have 3 copies of pic1. One copy on the webserver for each level. Unfortunately in this version there isn't an easy way of having the same image in multiple albums. One solution is to utilize the keyword field entering level1, level2, and level3 and then using the search function to pull up those images.

Hope this helps,
