Ok, newbie here, but I got everything installed and working
(Abyss Web server, mySQL, php, ImageMagick)
even created first gallery, album and imported picture successfully

wow, very nice program,
starting to like the php, mySql world

but...

I can't seem get my albums located to an alternate location.
If I place them in the default location (under the coppermine base path)
everything seems to work fine, however
if I select an alternate path (P:/coppermine/albums and userpics)
I get the following error from ImageMagick:

"The picture 'p:/coppermine/albums/userpics/10001/dlbike_4043IVdvl.jpg' can't be inserted in the album"
and
"Error executing ImageMagick - Return value: 1"

any ideas?

I realize now that the alternate album location needs to be visible by my web server, which it was not, I needed to setup an alias in my web server - problem solved

Joachim Müller

so you managed to run it on an abyss web server? Which OS does the server run under? I'm just curious - I'd like to add abyss to the list of webservers that were confirmed to work with coppermine.
Could you also post a link?
Thanks!
