Hi,

searched the board, all downloads and cpg-contrib, but was not able to find the miniCMS for version 1.3.x. It might be because I'm dumb, too. ;)

Anyway, can someone tell me, where I can find it?

Muchas gracias!

Next time you might want to turn your screen on when searching :)

Hi,

well, I found this one as well, but looking on to the release I thought it would be rather related to CPG 1.2.x than to 1.3.x.

I read the thread partially through. I saw that there are a couple of problem with it, at least with the extended version. Are they fixed? Or is there a total summarization of the topic available?
And, additionally, is it possible to run CPG 1.3.x also like a PicBlog with this miniCMS? Or do you think it is better to wait for 1.4?

miniCMS is not part of the core code of coppermine, it comes as a mod. If you need it, you're requested to read the whole thread. It is only supported in the thread that deals with it, not here on the "regular" support board. It was originally made for cpg1.2.x, but it can be used with cpg1.3.x as well (and there are several postings in the thread that say so). The minCMS mod for cpg1.4.x comes as a plugin, so you definitely need the coppermine plugin api, which is only part of cpg1.4.x (still unsupported beta), so it is not an option to use the "miniCMS plugin" with cpg1.3.x (which just doesn't have the capability to use plugins yet). There's no summary available or any other resource, only the thread that actually delas with the miniCMS mod.

Ahoi GauGau,

thanks for the answer. Well, sorry, it seems that I was too dumb to see what's on the screen - even though the fact, that my glasses are brandnew. *lol*

Anyway, I read the thread through and found out that xarumanx created an extended version of the miniCMS, but unfortunatly his destinations in the thread are not accessable. Well, xarumanx.net forwards to an other domain, but the link to the .zip-file does not exist (-> 404).

So, to the community: has someone the final version of xarumanx' extended version or does someone know the current download location?

I really appreciate the way CPG is going in version 1.4. From my point of view installing a CMS like e107 or similar, just for serving a photoblog-style website, is like shooting doves with a cannon. I really would like to see a working example of v1.4.x with the current miniCMS. I tried to download it, but the config part seems not to be finished yet, so I was not able to configure the plugin.
Does someone know if it is possible to get the newest version working as a photoblog look-a-like?

The recommended way to get the latest version of cpg 1.4 and minicms, is CVS. A sticky in the cpg 1.4 board discusses it.

I don't know if you can upgrade from the older minicms to the plugin version, so if you can wait, I suggest waiting for when cpg 1.4 is stable. We have made many changes to the minicms plug-in, including support for photoblogging. Here is an example: http://tu2.net/cpg/index.php?file=minicms/related There is an option to show images as thumbnails or the larger counterpart.

It works for any keyword you want to use.

I guess this is different from other photoblogs that only show one photo per page. That should be addressed once we have a config that determines the number of entries per page.

Hi,

I really, really appreciate the new minicms version with photoblog support. I'm working with s9y at the moment, and posting images ends up with pain. I really can't wait until 1.4 gets stable.

BTW, I tried 1.4 from the CVS (as described from the webpage cpg-contrib) and got it working, except the config part in the admin panel. I can't see any entry there, so I was not able to configure my test installation with the minicms plugin. I know, that the new version is still under heavy development, so it could be, that the config panel was not ready yesterday.
