Directory 'albums/screencaps/chapter1/' is not writable, files can't be deleted

what do i do?

Nibbler

Make it writable. Use your FTP client to chmod the dir to 777 or 755

mzsparrow

okay, i did that, and i still get the error message >.<

mzsparrow

neither 777 nor 755 works

mzsparrow

please, i really need this done.

screencaps>curse of the black pearl

thats the album that its doing it in!

any help is really appreciated, im putting my site online pretty soon and id like to have this problem fixed before then

Nibbler

If you PM me FTP details I can take a look for you.

Nibbler

Sorted. Remember not to interfere with batch added files with your FTP client.

mzsparrow

wonderful, thank you so much!

what was it exactly that i did wrong?

Nibbler

The deletion code doesn't check it facts properly. It throws out the perms error even if the folder does not exist. If you delete things via FTP then you need to replace the folders (ie upload an empty folder of the same name) which coppermine then happily deletes.

ah, kay.

thanks so much for your help :)
