Hi guys,

I managed to install the Abyss web server, phpBB, MySQL, etc . . . and got it all working.

I'm running it all on my home computer, which runs on XP, with ADSL

I thought that I'd try Coppermine, but even after reading the documentation, which
I've read several times . . . . I can get to the install.php page . . . fill out the information
and click "go" and it goes straight back to the same page.

I know what the database name is for phpBB . . . and I know that PhpBB is working
fine, but I can't figure this one out !

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Have you reviewed the numerous posts about that situation?

I can tell you this is due to how you've set up your server - most likely an issue with your version of php.  Post your server setup details.

Hi there,

I'm using Php - version 5.04 . . . . I used the zip version and installed it, as per the instruction in the Abyss documentation.

The strange thing is, that I tried to install Coppermine 1.41 and it worked fine !

The bridging the PhpBB worked as well . . . I assume that's correct ?

Am I using the wrong version of Php and should I be using an earlier version
of Coppermine ?

Thanks for your time and help.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this help. I looked all over the net including documentation included with the install and did not find this PHP issue - This help hint should be included in the intallation FAQ or something more intutitive.
