Video thumbnails - lack of.

Hi there, I'm using coppermine v133.
My problem is, after following the instructions for adding thumbnails to videos, (creating a picture of size 100x100 pixels, naming it thumb_vid.jpg same as the video, and placing it in the same ftp folder as the videos) when I batch add my videos the thumbnails come up fine, but once they are inside the gallery the thumbnails are just a tiny dot, 1 pixel, i.e. 0x0 or something. Am I right in thinking it is something to do with some file named getimagesize. If you can guess I'm a beginner. The error i get is:

Don't put spaces in your filenames or directory names.  Fix that and see if anything improves.

Already tried this mate.
An example file name for my videos is:

sosurreyashisgoodie.wmv

and the thumb for it

thumb_sosurreyashisgoodie.jpg

a note to any 'newbies' reading this post looking for answers as to why their thumbnails do not work with their videos.

1) make sure the thumbnail matches the video i.e. - 123.wmv 's thumbnail should be thumb_123.jpg
2) make sure there are no spaces just to be sure
3) make sure there are no spaces in the parent folder's title i.e. the folder in which you upload your videos.
4) make sure the thumbnails are in the same folder as the videos.
