Re: Intergrating ipb 2.1 with cpg143 problems

I'm going to have to unsolve this at the moment I'm afraid. I have a problem with it again.

I managed to work the bridging, with your help, but when i try to link to my gallery, it takes me to my forum. I sign in into my forum, and then try linking to my gallery, and it brings me to my forum again saying i need to sign in (although, its already states im signed in!) I have since disabled bridging.

Is this down to a cookie problem? If so, or if not, how can i solve this? Please help again.

I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and XXX:
I bridge the forum and gallery together successfully (or as it seems), but when i type the url for the gallery it takes me to my forum url. When linking from my forum to the gallery all that happens is that it refreshes my forum url and asks me to sign in again, although i am already signed in.

Coppermine install: http://www.krooz.co.uk/gallery/cpg143
Forum install: http://www.krooz.co.uk/forum
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.3
Forum version: IPB 2.1
Test user account: TEST ACCOUNT/ test

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.krooz.co.uk/forum
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../../cpg143
Use post-based groups?:  1

You will notice the extra directory above in the BBS's config file. This is explained in the post previously written on the same subject! Can be found here : http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=25976.msg119746#msg119746

Also, the account is now is now bridged. Will unbridge on request, if need be.

Cheers to anyone who helps

Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../../forum/

sorry thats what i was meant to write in the description above. My mistake. My BBS's is set to ../../forum/ and not as stated ../../cpg143/ above.

Can you assist any futher now this mistake has been rectified, please?

Joachim Müller

can't log in with the username "TEST ACCOUNT" and the password "test". Make sure you have specified a working account. Don't make it so hard for supporters!

I have just unbridged the account and tested the username: TEST ACCOUNT and the password: test, and they allowed me in. It must have been because of the bridging that stopped you from logging in.

I just find it strange that when the sites are bridged, no matter what url you use, you always get directed to my forum. Even though there is no such 'forum' directory in the gallery's url.

I have left it unbridged for now, just so you can log in.

If i am annoying you with my simpleton approach to this, i apologise. I have only been learning all this from scratch since 4 days ago.

Joachim Müller

That's impossible - bridging doesn't interfere with your BBS at all. Logging in with the test account doesn't work for me, please review it.
