Scroll'nTicker addon for cpg&phpBB2 users (sorry isn't a plugin)

Hi, this is a little addon for cpg 1.4.x - phpBB2 forum users only.

This addon allows the scroll above the gallery (header) of the News from your site (max 3) and shows the 10 last published posts in phpbb2 forum (Ticker).


The zip file attacched contains:

1) instructions.txt file

2) my header.inc customized file

3) one folder with ticker.html ; tiker.php and readme files for the Ticker

4) one folder with scrollnews.swf ; news.txt and scrollnews.fla files for the News scroller


Istructions:

Unzip all

Edit my header.inc Find and replace "mysite.org" whit a your phpBB2 path (example: http://yoursite.com/phpBB2/ticker.html)

Edit (customized whit your sitelogo or sitename) the scrollnews.fla file, whit Macromedia Flash (or another .fla editor) and save it in the .swf format

Edit, with a simple text editor, the news.txt file whit your News (max 3) (simple html code for format text is supported. See the exist exemple text)

Put header.inc in the existing cpg directory (backup the original header.inc before replacing it)

Put ticker.html and ticker.php in the main folder of phpBB2 forum (the same path in example above: http://yoursite.com/phpBB2/ticker.html)

Put scrollnews.swf and news.txt in the main cpg directory



See the example pic attacched. The Ticker isn't Mozilla compatible
