As I see it, the Coppermine structure is: Category -> Album -> Pictures (files)
I would like to be able to add additional directories deeper into Coppermine so that the following is each in its own directory:
Sport -> Season -> Team -> Game -> Pictures (files).
Example: Baseball -> 2006 -> Dodgers -> Game 1 -> Pictures

Is it possible to create this type of directory structure in cpg 1.4?

Thanks for the feedback

You can nest as many categories deep as you like.

... with the restriction that the album / files count numbers don't work any more (only albums/files one level deeper are counted).

Thanks guys - but let em clarify.

Would like to set up a category such as "Baseball"
Within the category I'd set up a folder for this year as "2006"
...then would like to set up a folder within "2006" for specifcally for my team "Dodgers"
...then (just to push the limits) would like to have a folder within Dodgers that is the actual album for each game

I wouldn't normally be so persistent - but this has got to be something that others could also use.

Thanks for any feedback - whether a solution, a mod, or a shutdown.

What do you mean 'folder' ?

You can create category structures as deep as you like.

Let me try and approach this from a different angle.

Let's say I use the Category Manager to create a category called "Baseball", then another category called "2006" that I link to under "Baseball" and finally another category called "Dodgers" that I link to under "2006".

Is there a way I can set unique general settings, permissions, album thumbnail, etc  to give the 2006 and Dodgers like what can be done for "Baseball" on the modifyalb.php page?

Thanks for your trying to help me.
