Installing 1.4.4

i am brand new to this.
my host will not offer support for this program.
so if anyone can help i will appreciate

i have it installed  on

originally fantastico in my cPanel let me install the 1.4.2 version i think
but when i access the gallery page it just said:

Fatal:

ok so now i downloaded the 1.4.4 grade and FTP'ed it to my gallery subdirectory... every file

now the error says:

While executing query "SELECT * FROM cpg_config" on 0

mySQL error: Table 'artdeva_copp1.cpg_config' doesn't exist


can you please tell me what i need to do next, in laymans terms or at least be detailed.

i just found out via my cPanel that i have access to  MySql database, so if there is anything i need to do there, please, please direct me

if someone can just tell me how many tables are supposed to be in:

_copp1.cpg_config

so i can attempt to creat this file, but i need table info.
