I am suddenly having a problem that I have never had before.

One of my staff members cannot upload .jpg images - she gets the following message:

The following uploads encountered errors:
File Uploads:
File Name/URL   Error Message
1. reflectionsonthe4thfilm283.jpg   Not a GD extension.
2. reflectionsonthe4thfilm281.jpg   Not a GD extension.
3. reflectionsonthe4thfilm284.jpg   Not a GD extension.
4. reflectionsonthe4thfilm285.jpg   Not a GD extension.
5. reflectionsonthe4thfilm287.jpg   Not a GD extension.

I tried to do it from my computer and had no problem.

Her account is confirmed and active and she has Administrator status. We tried deleting her account and reregistering, but it is still not working. She tried switching from AOL to IE and it is still not working.

I would appreciate any help that anyone can give! Thanks!

Could you have her upload the same file you were able to upload with no problem?

pattinsononline

We both uploaded the same exact file - I could do it but she couldn't. I tried uploading both from my hard drive and via URL.

Are you uploading from the same computer?  Can you upload images using her account from your computer?  If you can, then it appears the files are getting corrupted during the upload process from her computer.  Could be an ISP issue or computer issue.

Different computers.

Do you know if there is a way to fix it? Should she install something?

kegobeer

She should do a thorough virus and trojan scan first.  I would also have her install another browser, like Firefox, to see if it's an issue with her browser.  She should also look at her firewall security settings.

Thanks. I'll let her know and see what happens. :D

please take a look at http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=29768.0 that deals with an AOL issue that might be related.
