Upgraded from 1.3.3 to 1.4.4.  It looked like everything went fine, but now when I log in, I have no access to the admin area.  When I log in, I get the welcome screen, and am then returned to the album list, but there is no sign that I'm actually logged in.

I upgraded as follows:
1.  made a backup of all old coppermine files.
2.  replaced all files and directories (except the album directory) with the new ones from the 1.4.4 zip archive.
3.  copied include/config.inc.php and anycontent.php back from my backup
4.  copied folder containing version 1.4 files for 2bornot2b theme to the themes folder
4.  deleted install.php from the root directory
5.  verified edit directory within albums folder with permission
6.  ran update.php

Update ran and everything appeared to be successful, but now I seem to be locked out.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron

You're brilliant TranzNDance.. well you and Nibbler.  I opened the include/config.inc.php file, and deleted all blank lines at the end of the file, and that solved the problem.  Thanks to both of you.

Yeah, no kidding.
I had the same problem and it was killing me.

You should make that a sticky note. Stuff to check when you have loging problem.
Or even better, what not make the upgrade script clean up the darn config.inc.php?

Thanks, I am glad my problem is resolved...

the upgrade script doesn't touch that file.
