Having accidently deleted my files by the ftp client I tried a re-install but now get an error message:

mySQL Error: Table 'cpg148_albums' already exists on query ' CREATE TABLE cpg148_albums ( aid int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment, title varchar(255) NOT NULL default '', description text NOT NULL default '', visibility int(11) NOT NULL default '0', uploads enum('YES','NO') NOT NULL default 'NO', comments enum('YES','NO') NOT NULL default 'YES', votes enum('YES','NO') NOT NULL default 'YES', pos int(11) NOT NULL default '0', category int(11) NOT NULL default '0', thumb int(11) NOT NULL default '0', keyword VARCHAR( 50 ), alb_password VARCHAR( 32 ), alb_password_hint TEXT, PRIMARY KEY (aid), KEY alb_category (category) ) TYPE=MyISAM'

Can anyone advise what to do now?

Many Thanks

Mark

The error message should be obvious: tables with the prefix you chose already exists from your previous install. You have three options:
1) Restore your files from a backup (if you have one). No need to re-install then.
2) Delete the database tables from your previous install (the ones prefixed with "cpg148_") using a third party tool like phpMyAdmin, then install from scratch
3) Use another prefix when installing (not the default prefix "cpg148_"). This is the easiest method, but it will leave some unused garbage tables in your database.

Hi

I deleted all my files using an ftp client and uploaded them again. I just don't understand about SQL.

chummy

Ok I followed the advice and I'm up and running again.

Many thanks
