I am running latest version of gallery 1.4.8 (stable), for 3 weeks. Suddenly (today ) when I tried to login as administrator login/password let me via login process then I have a CONTINUE button or I wait couple seconds and page opens in a place as if I just opened it without loging to it. On top of the page I am getting LOGIN sign again. I try tologin again and it ends in same place.
When I try to  open directly page www.mygallerydomain.cxx/admin.php it tells me  I have not sufficient rights.
What is the problem? ???

Clear your cookies. Post your actual URL instead of a dummy placeholder. Make sure that your browser is set to accept the cookies. Make sure that silly third party apps (like "Norton Internet Security") are setup to not butt in into cookie management.

YES, it works now. Just clearing cookies made it work again. I don't use Norton Internet Security.

One bad thing about this is: I cleared cookies for all my other websites :(

On the 1.4.8 Coppermine Gallery Installation I chose custom cookie name. Would that affect this login performance?
:-\
Thanks for Help

Sorry for that, but it would have been enough to delete just the cookies from your coppermine-driven gallery.

As long as the cookie name you chose is valid (only alphanumerals, not special chars except the underscore), the name doesn't make a difference. However, it's safe to use the default, as the average user won't know nor care. There's no performance penalty for chosing a different cookie name.
