I registed at MySQL and it sent me a file to my email about what it does, i also downloaded MySQL Server Instance Config Wizard, and went through that and it said that i finshed and that it is setup, but on coppermine installation, it asks for MySQL Database Name and username and passowrd, and i dono where to get these. Can Sum1 Plz Help Me plz?????????

Do you have a webhost and don't know if it has mysql? Or are you trying to host your own site and trying to install mysql? Self-hosting is highly discouraged.

Also, we provide support for Coppermine here. There are other places that provide support for server/mysql setup.

I have a FTP server, and all website files are uploaded to lycos, where can i find this MySQL Database Name, username and password????

Tranz

Does Lycos offer mysql support? If yes, you need to ask them for details. Different hosts do things differently.

If no, you need to find another webhost.

I went on the lycos help and support i got this: Tripod provides a complete database management interface within its PHP4U service.

What is the MySQL Database Name, username and password, where can i find it? Is it my web host Name, web host uername and password????

You will need to ask your webhost how to get it. Some give you the info, others have you create it yourself. We don't know how lycos works. You can search the board to see if anyone posted a solution. If not, it would be great if you could find out and post it so others know how to get the info if they're using lycos.

I get this error on coppermine installation: Could not create a mySQL connection, please check the SQL values entered

MySQL error was : Access denied for user: 'anastaciaisgreat_es@wmphpf10.st2.lyceu.net' (Using password: NO)

What it Mean????????

I'm guessing that you didn't enter a password and it's expecting a password.

All i can find is this: How do I manage my MySQL Database?
Answer:
Tripod provides a complete database management interface within its PHP4U service. Just click on the Manage your database link on the PHP4U general panel to open this interface. If you want more information about how to use it, please refer to the Lycos Webmaster dedicated workshop.

I dono where the Manage your database link is and the PHP4U general panel to open this interface, will that be on lycos??????

As suggested various times: we don't know about Lycos. Ask Lycos, or google for it. We can't help you with that. Not because we don't want to, but because we can't.
