When I select the default language via the Admin -> Config menu (Save New Configuration) (I wanted to select Hebrew) - Nothing happens, and the language remain English.

Only if I choose "Display language list" (Yes), and go to the gallery to manually choose Hebrew from the drop-down list - the language changes.

No other way chages it.

(BTW, I think that the same goes for the Theme sekection, but I'm not sure)

Thanks for your prompt reply.

However, I admit I didn't understand it....

And what about the Theme? Does it follow the same pattern?

In other words - if I won't display the Theme & Language drop-down lists - there won't be a way to set a default theme and lang for all users?

Sami

- You can set default theme for gallery and it will always show that, unless you manualy change it to something else (with theme menu or url ) , you need to clear your cookie ( if you set your theme by menu or url ) to see the default theme

- For language as GauGau said on that thread , it's autodetected and client side So it's better to enable language menu

I'd rather leave the language dropdown off - the gallery will then be displayed in the prefered language of the user who accesses your site.
Same recommendation goes for the theme dropdown: you'll confuse users by offering different themes. It's recommended to stick with one theme for a better user experience, as your site deals with your pics and not with theme design.
