I am new to coppermine and have only had galery on line for a few days. In that time something like 80 % of all hits (about 2,200 hits) on individual image files have come from one IP address. I have tried to locate the user but cannot find anything about this address - no site name or anything useful from "whois".
I am concerned that this is something sinister, but hope it may just be someone who likes my pics!

Any ideas

i experienced the same thing on my CPG when i turned On the clickable keywords from CPG settings. The bots came and they followed all the keywords as they become hyperlink. So bots simply follow them. If you have server logs you can check them what pages they exactly following using what referal and strings.
