Hi all,

Confusion --

I use goDaddy as my webserver (great commercials). php, mySQL all included and up to date.
Installed Coppermine, no problems, galleries running just fine.

BUT. There was never an option to setup a mySQL database during the install, and when I look at the mySQL databases that I DO have, I see that there have been no Coppermine tables set up there (just the wordpress stuff I already had.)

So since clearly there are mySQL databases, where are they?  I plan to move my gallery to a different server, and according to the FAQ, I'll need to dump the queries etc... (I'll cross that bridge if I ever find the actual database...)

Any insight?

Nibbler

You'll need to take it up with them. If you use someone else's installer we have no way to tell you how it works. Try searching the board for GoDaddy.

I agree with Nibbler, but you can also get an idea of where your database is, if you download coppermines includes/config.inc.php via ftp and look at it in an editor.

Thanks for the quick replies.

Now to see if I can get goDaddy to get me access to the SQL database.

Next step is to switch this to my own SQL database. Starting over is not much of an option beacause to many users have painstakingly set up their own albums and uploaded photos....

As far as I remember from previous posting, you will run into issues if you have used Godaddy's ValueAdd program. It's nearly impossible to get a dump from there. Not sure though. As suggested before: ask your webhost.
