Hi!

I set up coppermine and an installation of SMF and used the bridge to connect both.
No I've got one usergroup in my forum I don't want to allow to access the albums.
Is there a possibility to disallow access only for this specific group?

Thanks in advance

Yes, using Coppermine's groups manager you can set upload permissions at will. If your question is not on upload permissions, but viewing permissions, then the answer is "yes" as well: you'll have to create a group (in SMF) where all users but the ones of the "non-viewing-permissions" group are members (e.g. name them "privileged"). Then set permissions for the albums (using album properties dialog) to allow only members of the new group "privileged" to view the album.

Different groups are already created by the forum.
So I have to set the permissions for each new album?
It's a little bit complicated, isn't it? In my opinion it would be better to set the permissions for all the albums.

You'll only have to set particular permissions for the albums that are suppossed to be restricted. By default, albums are visible for everyone. That's how Coppermine works. I'm sorry if this doesn't fit your particular needs, but yours appears to be a rather exotic setup.

Yes, of course!

But I think maybe it's point for a future release to disallow viewing of albums for specific usergroups.
Now I will handle it with the album permissions.

Thank you for you help!

A more granular permission system is already being considered for future versions and has been asked for often.
