I want to install the latest release of Coppermine stand-alone version and I want it to be integrated with vBulletin 3.6.4.

My first question is if this is possible or won't the full stand-alone version integrate with vBulletin. And if so is there a different version that I can not see or find somewhere that can be integrated with vBulletin.....

My second question is about databases. I read another post that said Coppermine should be installed into the same database as my forums. I also read that you will get server errors from the Coppermine install script if you do install it into the same database. I would like to set it up in a new database if possible so as not to disturb any tables in my forums database.....

So which is correct, a new database or the same database as the forums are in. And can they be integrated using separate databases ?

I have read all of the install docs and there is no information regarding this anywhere I could see.

The first thing I did notice that I assume is not included in the install doc is that the "config.inc.php.sample" file should be renamed to "config.inc.php"....Is this not an important thing to include in the installation docs ?

Well I would appreciate any help anyone could offer as I can not find these answers anywhere in the last couple of days searching and reading posts.

Thank you for your time,

You have 3 questions here, we do have a 1 question per thread rule you agreed to when signing up.

1) Integration with VB is supported, but may not always work with the latest version of VB due to it being proprietary software.

2) You can install into the same or different databases, the bridge works either way.

3) The sample file is just for reference, the installer creates the real config.inc.php for you when complete install.php

Then I apologize for the three questions as I missed that in the posting guidelines.

Thank you for taking time to answer this.

Just FYI: the board rules you agreed to when signing up say:
Quote10. One question per thread
We have a strict "One question/issue per thread rule", which helps both supporters/moderators to keep track of open/closed issues as well as users who search the board or browse it, looking for answers to their question. Don't try to "hijack" other's threads by posting unrelated questions to an existing thread.

Are your issues solved?

jackd

I already apologized once, am I expected to again............

Joachim Müller

No, please just answer my last question: can I mark this thread as "solved"?

jackd

By all means mark it solved.......I had no issues, only questions.
