Let me start by saying that I'm a huge fan of CPG  ;D

I'm wondering about the order of display in CPG.
I mostly upload pictures via the batch feature, but than the first picture of a serie is allways displayed last and the album starts with the last picture in the serie.
I did RTFM, but still am confused about this.

I know I can sort the pictures, but this seems to have no effect once I used the small + and - buttons in CPG.
Should I clean my cache and cookies to see CPG the way my visitors would see it for the first time!?

Thanks for reply,

Peter

Clear your cookies and also don't be logged in as admin. If your visitors must register then you should create a dummy user account for you to test with. As for sorting, did you see this section in the manual http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#admin_thumbnail_view that describes the default sort order?
Did you read the manual first???? Taking 2 minutes to backup your files can save you hours of wondering what you screwed up.

Thanks Gizmo, found the problem.
I've set the default order, but this is not perfect for all albums.
I use "batch upload", and "one-picture-at-a-time upload" as well.
So when I set the order manually with + or - links, the 'other' albums get screwed up.
I guess there's no overall solution for this...

Thanks for replying  ;)

Peter - I have the same problem, I upload individually and bulk, and I fixed it by setting the order to "position ascending" (In config, look in thumbnail view) and then change the order of the albums with the "Sort My Pictures" menu option.  That way, you don't have to rely on the filename or date in order to display the pics in the correct order.

I just started a new topic that addresses this.
