I want to uninstall 1.4.9 and install 1.4.10 but I do not want to lose the username/passwords of my current registered users.  Have already tried to upgrade but I really just want to start from scratch because all my picture files have gone missing anyway.

Have rtfm and upgrade/install instructions.  I cannot seem to figure out how to save/backup/dump the necessary files.  Can I just save the user info files to my local drive and then reupload them into the correct file after I install the 1.4.10?

My gallery is www.cutabovescrappin.com/galleryphotos.  I just uploaded a couple photos to see if it would work and it did but I had to scroll really far right during the uploading for some reason, to see the 'continue' button.  Did not have the problem before I did the upgrade.

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you,
Jeanne

Users are not contained in files, they are stored in the database.

Thank you for your quick reply.  How do I access and save the user information?  Can I save/transfer this info if I uninstall 1.4.9 and then install 1.4.10?  If so, how would I do this?

Thank you,
Jeanne

There is no point reinstalling. You won't gain anything. If you just want to clean out your gallery of all the missing pictures then you can empty the prefix_pictures table using phpmyadmin.

Hi Nibbler,

After I upgraded to the 1.4.10 and performed the update, there were several errors (red pencils) shown, I just though if I did a clean install instead of an upgrade that I could fix all the errors at once instead of trying to figure out what I did wrong.

Thanks for all your input.

Ignore the red pencils in versioncheck if you don't know what they mean.

Ok, thanks for the response.  I guess I don't need to worry then, huh?  I was able to upload pics and people have been able to register as new users so it seems like everything is working.

Thanks again for your help!
Jeanne :)
