Hi!

I use Coppermine 1.4.10 (modpack by Stramm) and have applied the Classic theme.

I have done some customizing with this theme, but there is actually one more thing i would like to do and that is to make the thumbnail page (showing all thumbs for that album) appear as default (i have a option to press a button to make this happen, but i would rather make it default on all albums.

Could someone assist me in finding out what i need to do to make this possible?

Sorry, appear by default when i have choosen an album to view.

I'm not sure what your question actually is: what you're requesting is default behaviour - when clicking a link that points to an album, you're being taken to the thumbnail page of that particular album. Actually, an album is a collection of thumbnails.

Siberiantiger

Ok, i'll try to explain this once more, and hopefully i am able to explain it better this time.

I have a gallery with categories and albums

Gallery -> Category = Buildings -> Album = Old houses

When i click on the album, the first picture of this album appears by default in this theme. But i want it to start with thumbnail view by default (as of to day, i have to choose thumbnail view manually (shown on the attached picture))

Hope this explains it..

As explained above: when clicking on an album sends you to an intermediate image, then you have a mod in place. The default behaviour of coppermine is exactly what you request: when clicking on an album, you're being sent to the thumbnail page. Try for yourself: go to our demo index page, scroll down a bit, click on the album "landscape" and you'll be sent to the corresponding thumbnail page. As suggested, this is the default behaviour. If this is not the case for you, then you must have modified coppermine's core code (as far as I remember, there is a modification that does exactly what you describe). Looking at some other threads it appears that you have applied a modification:

Posting a link to your site would be a good idea. It always is, as you have been told frequently, yet you fail to post a link to your gallery every time you start a thread. From now on, I will delete all threads you start where you fail to do so.

Siberiantiger

Oh my.. The reason why i do not send links, is that it very very often does not work for you for some reason (ref another topic)

Link to my album is:http://www.tjelle.info/redirect/gallery/index.php?cat=8

I have now seen the demo page / landscape album and this is how i want it to be.. but it's not the case for my album..

Yes, my theme is edited, but it's not the same as the last time (i started over again, so not all changes are added)

Joachim Müller

If the links you post do not work, then fix this first. I don't have an exotic config of my client. Your links are just not working. However, as I said: what you request is default behaviour. You must have done something (modifiying the core code) to prevent the default from being applied. As I can not know what you did, my only recommendation can only be to undo your changes. If you don't know how to undo your changes, then upload a vanilla copy of all coppermine core files, use one of the unmodified themes coppermine comes with and disable all plugins that might interfere.
This case is closed for me.

Siberiantiger

Just one more thing.. the link does not work becuase i suppose you use Mozilla browser.. try using Opera or IE

Case closed

Links are suppossed to work in any browser ::). If they don't, you have a serious issue that needs fixing no matter what. There are so many reliable server-sided redirection methods - it's just not a bright idea to use redirection that relies on the use of a particular client.
