I had just created different categories as well as different albums in user galery part with different test users.
the problem is that a "registered user" is not able to create the album in public categories. The choosing category drop list doesn't appear.
Note that I ve set the correct config for the admin which lets the user to upload in public albums.

Here is the link i ve uploaded: http://emuchix.com/gallery

Your answer was: No, non-admins can't create categories nor albums in public galleries. Workaround: allow them to have personal albums (where they can create albums). Once they uploaded, move the files from the personal gallery to a public album you create for them.

Now my question is: How to move a user gallery album to a public category ?

That's not what I said on the other thread. I didn't say that you were suppossed to move the album, but the pics that reside within it:

You can't move the album using the coppermine user-interface, but you can move the files within it.

As suggested, this is a workaround that requires some maintenance effort for the admin.

To move a personal gallery (an entire album) into the public gallery section, you'll have to use a third-party-tool like phpMyAdmin and you'll need to know your way around in Coppermine.
