I've had a bridge between a phpBB2 installation and CPG1.4.10 running successfully for several months.

Within the last day it's stopped working properly;

If I logon to the forum and follow the gallery link it thinks I'm not logged on.
If I logoff from the forum, follow the gallery link and logon from the link there it does recognise I'm logged on
If I return to the forum and then go back to teh gallery it doesn't recognise I'm logged on.

CPG / phpBB details / settings are;

Coppermine install: http://www.bahrain4x4.com/gallery
Forum install: http://www.bahrain4x4.com
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.10
Forum version: phpBB2.0.21
Test user account: TestUser / coppermine

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.bahrain4x4.com
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../
Use post-based groups?:  1
Cookie name/prefix: phpbb2mysql2

I initially tried deleting cookies from my browser, that didn't help.  I've since confirmed the problem on several different machines.  I tried giving a new cookie name in phpBB2 / CPG but that didn't help either.

Does anyone know where the problem I'm seeing is?

Many apologies if this has previously been covered but the current state of the internet connection here meant it was becoming an exercise in frustration to keep searching.

Many thanks in advance

Many apologies for that.  I've just reset the password and was able to logon with the above details.

This is a very common issue.

Either be consistant with your use of www.bahrain4x4.com vs bahrain4x4.com or set your cookie domain to .bahrain4x4.com in your forum.

Many thanks for such a quick reply.

I've just added that cookie domain and it seems to have fixed the problem.

I'm confused as to why it would've worked no problem for approx 9 months and then suddenly stop, any ideas?

Rgds & again, many thanks
Richard
