HI

A lot of time has passed without news or reissues....

Proposal: Redesign all the app without tables?

what do u think?
It would be possible?

greetingsss

Sami

Yes it's possible , actually I have it in my mind for two past months but surly it needs a lot of coding (changing the whole theme.inc.php) and surely it takes a lot of time to makes it cross browser design , when it comes to table less design your major problem is cross browser design
BTW if someone is ready to do that I'm on his/her side and I'll help to achieve that ;)

This has been discussed in the past already. The main issue that kept us from re-designing Coppermine using a tableless approach is the fact that the table-driven approach shines through overall in the code: nearly all coppermine core files contain reference to the initial table-based code from cpg1.0. To accomplish this, you'd have to re-write coppermine completely. This is not just a matter of overhauling coppermine slightly, but a complete re-code. It was one of the golas that the cpgNG project had, but the project was dropped due to lack of interest.

Moving this thread from "general discussion" to "feature requests". Please review the old discussions on tableless design.
