I cant find out how to add video files to my Coppermine gallery. I know how to add photos but where can I find some option for adding video links? Can you give me some advice? Thanks.

Nibbler

You add video files the same way you add image files. In future, please read the board descriptions and try to find the most appropriate place for your question. I have moved this thread from the photography tips/tricks section.

I am sorry, this is only section I can create new topics. I dont know why :(
"You add video files the same way you add image files" - it doesnt work that way. if I try to upload video or I add ulr of some video, Coppermine reports error.

Are we allowed to know what the error message is?

alanpalan

for example "Error. Cant open URL" (even though it was any valid URL to .avi or another video file)

Post more information. We need  a link to your site, a test user account, the URL you are trying to add etc. Check that you have set the correct permissions and that url_fopen is not disabled in your phpinfo.php file (output in browser, not the source code).

That is of course nonsense. You can post on the support board for cpg1.4.x as well (the board where your thread was moved to). You probably tried to start your thread on a board that deals with an outdated coppermine version (you can't start new threads on the cpg1.3.x support board for example, simply because that version goes unsupported). Maybe you tried post on "general discussion" or the mods sub-boards - those boards are closed as well for you, as you can easily figure out by reading the board descriptions.
Saying "this is only section I can create new topics" is just lame and shows that you haven't read carefully before dumping your question. We require users to do their homework before being allowed to ask questions. Failing to do so results in the supporters being reluctant to look into your issues.
