Why do I get this error and how can I fix it. I look in the Themes directory and there is no default directory - this is happening in the Admin area when I try to update a setting.

I'm also getting a index-5.html or similar error when I try to look at any album at all -

I just updated to the latest version 1.4.12

I'm sure this is a simple fix so If any one can help I'd appreciate it

you can see it at

Turn the SEF_URLs plugin off if it causes issues for you.

Where ? I know  set it but for the life of me can't find it again to turn it off

I thought there was a way to access that via the admin area under either admin Tools or The configuration section - That's how I installed it.

Quick comment - if this plugin causes this much problems why is it included in the installation package ?

Thanks

Site working again

Ok thought this issue was licked by turning off the plugin - the Albums now work properly but in the Admin Mode I am still getting this error and can't make any changes

Unable to load Themes/default/index.template.php!

Thanks

Thanks that was it. I appreciate the timely feedback you gave on this as well.

any clue why I'm getting this error on uploading ?

Fatal error: Allowed memory size as my server is set to accept up to 500mb of file upploading ?

We have a strict "one question per thread" policy that you agreed to respect when signing up. Your initial question got solved, so I'm marking this thread accordingly and locking it.
To figure out your upload issues, read the documentation (upload troubleshooting section) and the sticky thread on the uploads sub-board (it contains a posting that explains exactly the error message you get in detail). If this doesn't help, start a new thread on the uploads board, doing as suggested in the upload troubleshooting section of the docs.
