When bridged clicking on upload gives explorer page not found, when bridge turned of works great? :'(

Nibbler had to remind you how to obtain bridging support even though you already have been told what you need to do when asking for support on the other thread you have started.
Quote from: GauGau on September 09, 2007, 07:06:44 PMThere's a sticky thread named "When requesting bridge support - mandatory!". The word "mandatory" hasn't been chosen by accident, but on purpose. In fact, the sticky thread says the same as the corresponding chapter of the docs "Bridging support".
Play by the rules or don't post at all. In this particular case: read up and do as suggested in both resources.

should read
QuoteI have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and SMF 2.0 Beta 1

2) http://www.britmovie.net/forum/ returns a 404 not found, i.e. doesn't exist. Subsequently, it's not surprising that you get a page-not-found error

3) Bridging appears to be disabled - how are we suppossed to help you?

4) Your site is dead-slow for me. Are you by chance self-hosted? In case your answer is "yes": this is not recommended at all. Find decent webhosting instead.

5) Review above mentioned remarks and report back as soon as your site is operational.

1.)I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and SMF 2.0 Beta 1
2.) Is a working link and produces the forum site?
3.) Bridging enabled
4.) Site is a virtual dedicated server...flies for me

Joachim Müller

As suggested: the forum is down for me 90% of all tries - I have to hammer the refresh button to get it displayed. Fix this and your issues with logging in will go away.

That doesnt make sense as when i click on the link i get the site everytime and just asked 2 members and they do?

Tryweryn

Solved the problem...nothing to do with my site it was the plugins. I uploaded a plugin pack found on your downloads section and half of them cause the page not found or as in the plugin for buying prints, a fatal error.

When this was removed it worked great!

Name Orderable Category List v1.1
Author Donnoman from cpg-contrib.org
Description Allows the user more options for ordering the category list.

Joachim Müller

The plugin pack goes unsupported. It's absolutely nonsensical to enable a load of plugins that you don't need. You should have read the readme that comes with the plugin pack. However: the plugin could possibly only have interfered with your gallery, but not with your forum. Your explanation doesn't explain why the forum was so dead-slow and unavailable most of the time.
Anyway, marking thread as solved and removing the email address in your above posting - we wouldn't want Donnoman's email address to get flooded by spam just because you needlessly posted the address on a forum where it gets spidered by email harvester bots, don't you agree ;)?
