BB code does not seem to work on album descriptions with the theme ChaoticSoul.  Has anyone else experienced this problem or know of a fix?  Site in question is http://frozen-motion.com, although there is no example of bb code being used at this time due to it displaying the code and not functioning properly.  For example, if I use [color=red]blah blah[/color], [color=red]blah blah[/color] is displayed rather than red text.

Must be caused by your copy of the theme (or something else you did when modifying the core code), as this behaviour doesn't exist in the original theme. As an example, take a look at the demo: http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/index.php?theme=chaoticsoul - the category description
QuoteInside this category, you will find (among other things) a demonstration of a password-protected album. When you click on the category, the pw-protected album seems not to be there. However, if you click on the link to it, you'll be prompted for the password (which is "pass").
of category number 3 (with the category name "Password-protection") contains a link that has been added using bbcode.
If you want help, temporarily create such a category description where the bbcode shows through and post a deep link to that. As you require being logged in, provide a non-admin test user account as well.

So far it seems to be a problem with truncation.  See here http://www.thefabhouse.com/testcpg/index.php
The Sample album description is red, but when you are in that album you then see code. Also the short truncated description is only showing one word when code is used.  This test site is using a fresh, unmodified theme.

Read the theme's announcement thread. It describes the truncation feature in detail.

@GauGau:  There is no apparent problem with the demo because the BB code used is in the Category description.  The problem definitely seems to be an issue with the album description truncation and BB code.

@Nibbler: I know what code is dealing with truncation, but honestly I'm really not knowledgeable enough to identify the problem with the code, I was hoping someone here can help...especially since this is a issue with the theme itself and not something I'm trying to mod after-the-fact.

Thanks

I have the same problem...
Sorry, is there a solution?

Thanks for any suggestion.
