Hope I'm not breaking the rules her. I've posted this originally as a reply in Feature requests to a existing threat.

Now I wonder if there's a workaround  or if "I'm just not getting it". Saw there was a similar headline threat here but it seemed to be about a different subject after all. The question:

The distinction between category vs album leads to a problem (for me)
If there was a album folder structure without the Top Level category break one could present - on the home page - a initial "best of" album and several starting categories at the same time. Rather than having to stick to categories only, that then lead to albums...

For Example:   http://www.oliverscholl.com   , (my site) may be that will clarify.
Rather than
Production Design(Category)
Production Art (Category)
Other Projects (Category)

- I'd like to have:
Best of(Album)
Production Design (Category)
Projects (Category)

That seems not possible because of the Album/Category distinction.

or, did I miss something - being a coppermine newbie ?

Thanks

Just make an album in 'no category'.

ooops.

just saw if I don't put an album into a category, it'll show up on the top level. Sorry....

If I want this to show with the same layout as the categories, will changing the album template change th appearance throughout ?
