I recently changed my hosting company and now I get this error:

Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Access denied for user 'secon015_fambam'@'%' to database 'mysql'

I looked in the /includes/config.inc.php to try to get the information corrected, but nothing. Can you help?

Hein Traag

Did you get a new mysql database and username with your new hoster. And did you import your mysql database into the new one and (if needed) changed the settings for that ?

Nibbler

You shouldn't put things in the database named 'mysql' - it is for internal use by mysql. You should talk to your host.

Ok so I reconfigured the config.inc file and uploaded it to my server. I did have another program that I installed that I needed this information for and it worked 5 minuites ago. Now here is the message I get on the net:

While executing query "SELECT * FROM cpg1410_config" on 0

mySQL error: Table 'secon015_fambam.cpg1410_config' doesn't exist

I saw another post that indicated that this could be bad, but all I did was take the info from one server and move it to another. I dont understand (maybe because  do not know what I am doing) why this would have happened.

Any way to help?

Joseph

I did not. I user FTP to move everything from the server that was hosting my site to my hard drive and then went back to the folder on my hard drive and used ftp to send the info to the new server. ( Bad Move?)

Nibbler

So you didn't move the database tables to the new server?
