Limiting the front page album view to 1 or 2 rows.

Hi, I've been trying  to limit the album view on the main page to 1 or 2 rows but still allow my standard 4 rows on the other album view page that you get to by clicking the category name. How can I do this?

I've tried adding a comma and a 2 after alblist, like this: alblist,2. But that has no effect.

Please help me.

alblist and catlist don't have additional parameters - only the meta albums have such parameters. All categories will be displayed. All albums will be displayed. To reduce the number of items on your index page, turn "Show first level album thumbnails in categories" off in coppermine's config or organize your files into categories, subcategories and albums.
Reduce the number of meta albums.
