Hi,

Arrgghh, I hate windows. I have absolutely no real experience with windows servers, but I've been moved onto a windows based server after my host's previous linux server bit the dust and they decided to replace it with a windows one :( It's using IIS, by the way.

Anyway, I've been trying to install coppermine which worked great on the linux server. But I just cant work it out, when uploading an image I get this error message:

QuoteThe file you have uploaded is not a valid image !

(even though it is)...at the bottom of the page it then says:

QuotePHP Warning: chmod() [function.chmod]: Permission denied in C:\Program Files\Ensim\Sitedata\tomthorpe\Inetpub\wwwroot\gallery\db_input.php on line 261 PHP Warning: getimagesize(albums/userpics/spark~1.JPG) [function.getimagesize]: failed to create stream: Permission denied in C:\Program Files\Ensim\Sitedata\tomthorpe\Inetpub\wwwroot\gallery\db_input.php on line 263 PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent in C:\Program Files\Ensim\Sitedata\tomthorpe\Inetpub\wwwroot\gallery\themes\rainy_day\theme.php on line 866 PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent in C:\Program Files\Ensim\Sitedata\tomthorpe\Inetpub\wwwroot\gallery\include\functions.inc.php on line 51
To change permissions and all that, I have to use the Ensim Pro admin section on the server, I dont have access to stuff like right click and change the different users or something that I saw mentioned when I searched for people having problems installing on windows servers. It has the option in permissions for "Read" and "Write", nothing else. I've made the files in the include and albums directory both Read and Write, everything else is Read.

Also, interestingly, when I create the album, it appears as an icon on the front page (with none of the admin options I thought it's supposed to have next to it), and in the dropdown box of the upload section, however when I lclick on it it says:
QuoteThe selected album/picture does not exist !

I dont know if this is just because there are no pictures in the album yet.

Please help, I really have no idea about this all.

Thanks,
Tom

you'll have to find out how to do the CHMOD-equivalent on windows first - if you only have a user interface to grant read/write, you should grant "read" on the whole coppermine folder and "write" and the albums and include folders.
For the other issues you're having, a link might help...
